What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state of your mind that you go in and out of throughout the day. For example, when you’re daydreaming or you’re driving. Have you ever noticed when you’re driving and you arrive at your destination; and you don’t quite remember how you got there? That’s because you were in a state of hypnosis.

When you are in a state of hypnosis, you are able to communicate directly with your subconscious – where all your habits, behaviors and beliefs live.

Why use hypnosis?

The purpose of using hypnosis is to bypass your conscious ming and become open and receptive to suggestion. In essence, hypnosis uses the same process that led to the belief we originally formed as children.

Through suggestion therapy new ideas and beliefs can be installed into the mind. So that you no longer have to rely on will power to overcome a particular problem or challenge in your life.

Who is hypnotherapy for?

Hypnotherapy is for anyone who wants to make a change in their life.

Can I get stuck hypnosis?

No, it is not possible to get "stuck" in hypnosis. Hypnosis is a natural state similar to daydreaming or being deeply absorbed in a book or movie. You can always be awakened by the therapist, or you will naturally awaken on your own.

Our bodies and minds naturally cycle through different states of consciousness throughout the day, and hypnosis is a part of this natural cycle. Awakening is natural. Just as you naturally awaken from sleep, you will naturally awaken from a hypnotic state.

Can you make me cluck like a chicken during hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state. It's not a loss of consciousness or a state of sleep, but rather a heightened state of focus and suggestibility. In the state of hypnosis you are always in control and you are always aware of what it happening. You have the ability to accept or reject any suggestions given during hypnosis.
